Thank you too for an amazing couple of days – exhilarating, exhausting, exciting and terrifying in equal parts but also ultimately satisfying and have not been able to get the thought of climbing again out of my mind. I learned so much in two days I astonished myself at what I achieved.
I think you did an awesome job managing the very different abilities and sensibilities of the group. I also enjoyed hearing your ‘hot tips’ and would have perhaps liked a more defined lunch break so that we could actually ask questions rather than chatting whilst we were working – I would have liked advice on what a ‘beginner’s kit’ looked like – what brands of harness, helmet and warm clothing should we start with for example?
I loved the feedback you gave after the course too – you summed up each individual really clearly and gave us all useful pointers where we could improve. My lack of self belief goes back a long way and I’ve been working on it since husband left home so for me it is still an unfinished project, but I totally get where you are coming from and plan to try and do regular indoor climbing sessions to build my confidence as much as I can. We are lucky enough to be close to a large new leisure development which will have a brand new climbing wall facility by January 2016 so that is fortuitous. Bye for now Judy :)xxx
